It’s been a pulsating, exciting first half at Old Trafford and it’s Jose Mourinho’s men who go into the break ahead thanks to a wonderful strike from Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Deployed in a right-wing role this afternoon, he’s followed up his first ever United goal on Thursday night with his first ever Premier League goal today.
It was a beautiful finish past Lloris after the midfielder raced away from the Spurs defence, who were cut open by Ander Herrera’s exquisite pass.
It has of course delighted Man United fans who are desperate for a win to end their bad form and push on into the top 4 of the English Premier League over the coming weeks.
Perhaps the emerging form of Mkhitaryan will go a long way to making those dreams become reality.
A fascinating second half is in store for us here. Can Spurs mount a comeback or is today the day for Mourinho’s team?
