Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to call on the club to give the soon-to-be-departing Aaron Ramsey the wages that are currently being earned by Mesut Ozil in order to keep him at the club.
The Wales international entered the Emirates pitch at the half-time interval against Tottenham with the away side leading by two goals to one. However, his impressive 45-minute cameo helped his side score three goals to win the game 4-2 and get one over on their bitter rivals.
Ramsey’s contract expires at the end of the season and he looks set to leave the club after not being offered a new deal. On the other hand, Ozil is rumoured to be earning £350k-a-week, making him the club’s top earner.
Following his derby heroics, however, whilst the German sat out with ‘back spasms’, the Gunners’ fans have called for the former Cardiff man to be kept at the club at the expense of Ozil.
