A slight majority of the Celtic fans that voted in our poll were against the club going back in for Scott McKenna in the next transfer window, after his tackle that took Odsonne Edouard out of the game in the Bhoys’ clash with Aberdeen last weekend.
French striker Edouard, who was a summer signing after spending last season on loan at Parkhead, looked to be through on goal in the first half, but the youngster was cleaned out by McKenna, who was actually a summer target for the Bhoys and the subject of a rejected £3.5m bid in August. Referee Bobby Madden waved away Celtic protests that it was a foul, but the Aberdeen man has since been banned for two games.
Celtic have had a difficult start to the season and sit in fifth place in the Scottish Premiership after securing the treble last year.
Manager Brendan Rodgers struggled to convince the board to open their wallets for some of his targets towards the end of the summer, but Celtic fans are clearly now unsure whether they would want McKenna, with 53 per cent wanting to steer clear of the 21-year-old.
